Code of Conduct for Participants:
Every participant is advised to uphold behavioural standards and practices expected from a student of NTU. Any activity unbecoming of a student of this university will invite punitive action. Nevertheless, some guidelines are stated below, just to reiterate.
- Be Original: Plagiarism in any form is an offence liable to punishment and may lead to disqualification of the participants.
- Be Respectful: Be kind to others. Do not insult or attempt to look down on other attendees. Behave professionally. Remember that harassment and racist, sexist, or exclusionary remarks are not appropriate for this event. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
- Be Open: We welcome attendees from all backgrounds. This event is about increasing the overall amount of learning, partnership, and engagement in the developer community. In the spirit of education and inclusiveness, there may be participants from different schools and backgrounds participating in the hackathon. Keep this in mind when addressing a fellow attendee
- Be Awesome: Do your best and believe in yourself. The spirit of whole-hearted participation is appreciated and encouraged. Participants violating these rules may be asked to leave the hackathon at the sole discretion of the organizers. Thank you for helping make this a welcoming, friendly place for all.
